Russian Dancing

Entertainment Dancing is a well-known among the Russian people. Originally, the dance is entertainment of ordinary people. The common people are farmers living in villages outside the fortress. During this period, the feudal aristocracy have nothing to do with the performance of dance entertainment. There are several types of Russian dance are designed to bring entertainment to the audience at the royal court. The Russian folk dance, also known as Troika is a performance among the community. Troika is a Russian term meaning three horse teams. In the Russian folk dance, the dancers will attempt to imitate the move of a prancing horse while it is pulling a carriage. During the Troika performance, a man will dance along with two women. Sometimes, the trio dance is performed by three girls. In larger performance, several groups of people will dance together with other groups.

The Russian dance, Dancing with Bears, was performed in the year 907 A.D. The dance was performed as a tribute to the victory of Price Oleg over Kiev. At the Gala dinner, sixteen male dancers are dressed in bears. Four real bears that are dressed as dancer also appear at the performance show in the Gala dinner. Later, Petro Preeyadka began to dnace at the Monomakh's Palace during every meal.
